Want your C10 sitting lower up front without beating up the ride? Drop spindles do it right, as long as you plan the brakes and shocks to match.
Why it matters
Lowering with springs alone eats into your shock travel, and you feel it. A drop spindle changes where the wheel sits relative to the frame, so you get the lower stance without giving up suspension travel. For a restomod or a street cruiser, it is one of the cleanest ways to get the front end down.
What you need to know
Our 2.5 inch drop spindles come as a left and right pair and are built to support a disc brake conversion. We only sell the disc setup, so sort your brakes first. For 1963-1970 C10 2WD trucks the conversion means 5-lug disc brakes using 1971-87 parts. They work with stock or lowered coil springs and shocks, and they are offered by year range: 1960-62, 1963-70, 1971-72 and 1973-87. Pick yours on the product page.
Then deal with the shocks. After you drop the truck, shock angle and travel change, so a front shock relocation kit is a common companion to drop spindles, and front and rear drop shocks are valved for the shorter travel. Verify fitment against your own suspension setup before you order.
